Gas equipment accreditation

BS-EN-ISO 9001:2000

Accreditation proves that Continental are competent to perform and manage the manufacturing and sourcing of specific gas related products. A quality assurance system is essential to receive accreditation. Continental’s speciality gas product manufacturing plants are International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001-certified.

As the world’s most established quality framework, ISO 9001 is currently being used by around 897,000 organizations in 170 countries worldwide. It sets the standard not only for quality management systems, but for management systems in general and is suitable for any organization looking to improve the way it is operated and managed, regardless of size or sector. However, the best returns on investment come from those companies that are prepared to implement it throughout their organization rather than at particular sites, departments or divisions.

Continental was first awarded with this accreditation on 12th December 1995.

BSI Kite-mark

Continental are the first and only company to bring to market a fully approved BSI Kite-marked GIS/PL2-2:2006 PE Gas Pipe. All of the components used in the kits tendered for are certified to the necessary PRS specifications. This Kitemark approval was achieved after a two year development period with our pipe partner, Quality Plastics, which ensured that all of the approvals were met.

The license was granted on 7th March 2008.
